Christian Hubicki is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Joint FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Florida State University, and director of the Optimal Robotics Laboratory. He holds a BS and MS from Bucknell University, a dual-degree PhD in Robotics and Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, and completed postdoctoral training at Georgia Tech. His research in robot locomotion has earned multiple technical paper awards from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) alongside industry honors from the Toyota Research Institute and L3Harris Technologies, as well as the National Academy of Engineering. His work has been featured across major media outlets, including the Science Channel and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
