Elliot Franz, BS, MS, is the founder of Uncommon Innovation LLC and has more than 10 years of experience in the medical device industry spanning product design and development, quality engineering, operations, and senior management. He holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering (Bucknell University) and Electrical and Computer Engineering (Temple University). As a consultant, he helps startup to midsize companies design, develop, and manufacture Class I and II medical devices for the US, Canadian, and European markets, providing services across strategy and leadership, design, quality/regulatory, and production/operations. His combined expertise in quality management, regulatory affairs, and hands-on engineering allows him to bridge the gap between engineering, business, and quality/regulatory teams to help clients deliver safe and effective devices.
