Italo Merante ’18, P.E. is a Vice President for Merante Contracting, a heavy highway contractor based out of Pittsburgh. Merante’s projects include roads, bridges, deep foundations, utilities, concrete flatwork, and sitework. Italo has been involved in the industry since he was 12 years old and takes pride in having worked in nearly every position the industry offers. His company is excited to be breaking ground on Smithfield St. right now, a large streetscape project in downtown Pittsburgh. In addition to his role at Merante, Italo takes pride in mentoring the Bucknell Estimating team.
