
Kerri Piper ’25
Kerri Piper ’25, EIT, is an Electrical Engineer at Cara Engineering, P.C. She began her career in power generation at the Montour Talen Energy plant, where she gained firsthand experience with the generation of electrical power and its delivery to the grid. Now, as a Traction Power Engineer based in New York City, Kerri works on the distribution side of the industry, designing substations, grounding systems, and power infrastructure that support rail transit networks throughout New York and New Jersey. In addition to design work, Kerri performs short-circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies to help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of existing electrical systems.
