Simbi Maphosa ’23 is a Discovery (R&D) Engineer at LSI SOLUTIONS® in Victor, New York. In her current role, she contributes to early-stage medical device innovation and product development. Since joining LSI SOLUTIONS®, she has supported the launch of eight new products and gained hands-on experience across all stages of product development, including product design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, intellectual property, and cross-functional team collaboration. Her undergraduate research, BME senior design project, Bucknell SBDC leadership, and BizPitch experience provided a strong foundation in entrepreneurship, innovation, and practical engineering problem-solving.
